Korea Airport Duty Free Shop Haul

 Hi everyone :)
I shopped on one of Korea's duty free websites through Dave's best friend. He went back to Korea for the holidays so I ordered a few items for myself, my sister and my mom.
I wish I can go but I don't have any plans yet. My sister is going in June and Dave will also be going sometime in April or May whenever his exams finish. (FYI, Dave is my boyfriend. haha :P)

Here are the products! (Prices are marked in USD on the website.)

Nature Republic Super Aqua essence

40ml, USD $9

I purchased both combination and dry skin serums for day and night time. Since I apply sunscreens in the morning, my skin tends to get a little oily on my T-zone so I prefer less moisturizing products during day time. I have been using them for almost two weeks and so far, I have no skin troubles and they seem to be okay.
One thing I like about this product is that it is only nine dollars. :)

Espoir eyeliner shapener

USD $2

A few months ago, I bought a pencil sharpener from daiso for two dollars because I didn't want to spend over $10 on a pencil sharpener. Do u know what happened? That sharpener ruined my NEW eyeliner. I was so mad and I actually don't know why but I tried once more to see if it would work properly but no. (FAIL..)
I didn't think duty free shops would carry an eyeliner sharpener but they do! It is only two dollars and has two sizes so you can fit regular eyeliner and also jumbo eye pencils as well.

Shu Uemura hard formula eyebrow pencil

02 Seal Brown, USD$20

I love this eyebrow pencil! It is really nice and draws smoothly on eyebrows. When you try on your hand to see the color, it does not show up on skin. It is only applied on hairy area. (Sounds funny :P)
I actually don't know how much this is in Canada but it is $23 in the States. Since I only paid $20, I beat everywhere else!

Anna Sui Eyebrow color compact

01 Red Brown, USD$20

This is for my mom. She has red tone hair so this eyebrow kit is perfect for her. Colors suit her hair color really well. The packaging is super cute and my mom wants to use it as a hair clip hehe
Anna Sui carries two more colors so you should check them out to see which color compact is for you!

Sulwhasoo
Firming Cream, Balancing Water and Emulsion

USD$73,$44,$48

This Sulwhasoo skin care set is for my mom as well. Sulwhasoo is one of the high-end brands in Korea so their price point is higher. However if you buy them at Duty Free shop then it is way cheaper than getting them in store. If you want to try them out, you should go visit H-mart near your house. Hmart carries Sulwhasoo and some other Korean cosmetic brands as well.

SUM multi-effect sunblock

SPF50, 50ml, USD$28

This is for my sister. For some of you who don't know about my sister's skin condition..She has extremely sensitive skin and a bit of acne problems as well. She always has hard time finding new products. Currently, she's using this sunscreen from IOPE (from Korea) but that sunscreen is running out so she wanted to get another one. However, IOPE is not carried both duty free sites. She searched for other brands and she ended up with this one! I want to try this one out as well because it is 'multi-effect sunscreen'. It means that it works as base, primer and sunscreen. I will let you guys know how it is after she opens it!

If any of your friends are going to Korea or you are stooping over at the Korea airport then you MUST check out duty free shops. They are AMAZING. They are huge and they carry numerous brands.
I want to go too!!!!! Hope I can visit soon like my sister!

Bye guys, I will talk to you later :)

Everyday Makeup Routine and tutorial #1, 2013

Hi everyone :)

I am back with a first makeup tutorial for 2013. It is already mid January and I wanna kick off this year with my everyday makeup routine and also a tutorial. I filmed this with my sister's dslr and the quality is way better than my old camera. (I wanna get a new camera! hehe)
Here in this video, I am showing you guys the products that I use everyday such as highlighter, bronzer, foundation, and eyebrow products. Of course eyeshadows, blushes, and lip products change day by day just like you guys :)

Have a look at the pictures. I divided them into groups of face, eyes. eyebrow, lips.

1.Face

Dior Shimmer Powder - 02 Amber Diamond
Nars bronzer - Laguna
Mac mineralized blush - Warm Soul
Benefit blush - Dandelion
Giorgio Armani Silk luminous foundation - 02

I don't use concealers anymore so whenever I have spots to cover, I put a little more foundation on to cover up. But this foundation does not really have coverage so if you are looking for a foundation for good coverage then you should look into something else. I have been using it for a few months and I like it a lot for a few reasons. It not oily as my previous tinted moisturizer and bb cream and yet it is not dehydrating. It is also light so even when I have to wear it for such a long time, my skin still feels fresh and okay.

2. Eyes

Bobbi Brown shimmer brick - Beige
Dior 5 color eyeshadows palette - 649 Ready to Glow
Maybelline volume express mascara - yellow container

My two favorite items! I use the shimmer brick as base eyeshadows. The second last colour is the base shadow that I use everyday and 3rd and the last colors are brownish so I use them to add some brown and bronze tones to my eyes. The first and the second colors are used as highlighter for inner conner or as touch up for highlighting my lid.

Dior 640 palette has been always my favorite for 2 years now I believe (or less than that. I am not too sure). It is a perfect palette for both everyday and evening makeups! I love, love and love it! Every single color is highly pigmented and well applied with finger tips and brushes as well.

3. Lips

Chanel lipgloss - 166 Amour
Mac lipstick - Ravishing

Ravishing is nice peach color lipstick with undertone of nude. It is their 'creme sheen' version so it is hydrating compared to their luster and matte lipsticks. When I first purchased Ravishing, I only wore this for quite a long time. (That's how much I loved this product. I still love it but I don't wear it everyday as I used to.)

I did not like wearing lip glosses because of their stickiness but it keeps my lips hydrating so I am getting used to wearing it again. Back in the days when I was in high school, I liked putting on lip glosses because it looks glossy and cute but never really put it on again after high school until recently.
I am looking into more colors whenever I go makeup shopping hehe

4.Eyebrows

Shu Uemura hard formula eyebrow pencil - 02 seal brown (hard 9)
Lancome color design *sample* palette
Benefit eyebrow kit - 02 medium

I really like the Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil and I feel like it will last me super long. It is soft and applies well onto eyebrows but when you try it on hand, color doesn't show up. The sample palette from Lancome is the one that I got during their promotion last year. I use the white matte color to highlight my brow bone everyday. (That's the reason why I included this palette under eyebrow section.)
As some of you know, I have had the Benefit eyebrow kit for a long time. It took me more than a year to finish the wax part. I am just using the shadow type to fill empty spots after outlining my eyebrows with Shu Uemura pencil.

Here are a few more pictures before the tutorial!

Thanks guys<3

Too Faced Eyeshadow bonbons review

Hi everyone :)
I purchased a christmas collection eyeshadow palette from Too Faced.
It's called 'Shadow Bon Bons'.

Too Faced Shadow Bon Bons
My first impression was like 'wow this palette is such a good deal'. I still think it is a very good deal cuz it is only C$47 and it has an eye primer and a mascara!

C$47
Looks like this at the back :)
I went into Sephora for another palette but they were sold out so I bought this instead.
This palette has 12 eyeshadows, an eye primer and a mascara.
What a great deal!!!

It is so nice but seriously the case is humungous. If it was smaller I would have loved it even more but oh well..

Have a look at the close up view of the eye shadows.

Most of the shadows are glittery and shimmery except Vanilla, Cut the Cake, and Marzipan.
A few of them like Coffe Bean and Licorice Latte look matte when applied.
I like how they are glittery because this palette is their Christmas collection and I feel like it is more targeted for parties and special occasions; however, some of them like Peach Fuzz and Nude Beach fall off too much! I had hard times applying them for a first few days. My entire face was covered under glitters :P Everyone was asking what was going on..

I now apply them after wetting my brushes with MAC Fix plus. By doing this, it helps the glitters to set down on the skin well. I haven't tried the eye primer and mascara yet so I don't know how good they are but one thing that I know for sure is that this eye primer is pretty good.
There are lots of good reviews on the eye primer and I see it a lot on youtube videos too haha

Here is the final image of the kit!

Have a good night :)
